Especially during the construction of the ski jump and afterwards, old paths, stairs, terraces, ring walls and stone foundations were found on the Wurmberg summit.
The archaeologist Dr Nowothnig suspected a prehistoric cult site here and tried to document it through excavations.
The interpretations of Dr. Nowothnig, who has since died, are disputed today. Were they cult sites from Celtic times or stone settlements from other epochs? Or both?
